Ann is an amazing combination of fun and more fun! She loves Moment of Surrender by U2, golf and Carrot Top! She’s been known to dance at Starbucks with her granddaughter and would rather jog (or run) than walk. She's a Mac girl all the way!
As a child, Ann remembers her dad serving watermelon and ice cream for breakfast! “It was unforgettable!” Obviously influenced by that moment, Ann loves to create unforgettable environments wherever she goes!
Jared, raised Mennonite, knows little about movies and music before the age of 18 and now chooses not to disclose his preferences! He doesn't dance, but sings with vigor at the worship services at E! You won't see him playing his guitar on the worship team...he says his skills need more work!
Marli Hansen | Worship Pastor
Marli is a creative and passionate young worship leader. She, her husband Jeremy, and their two boys, Jude and Carter, drove from Seattle to Hillsboro and after visiting Evergreen, knew it was the place for them! Since then, they've added a darling little girl, Claire, to their family.
Marli loves a variety of musical styles. A few favorite artists are U2, Brooke Fraser, Switchfoot, Bryan & Katie Torwalt, Ingrid Michaelson ... the list could go on and on!
A perfect day for Marli would have to include people, live music, a CrossFit WOD, and a chai tea latte from Insomnia (in any order!)
Rick Sawczuk | Associate Pastor
Rick’s Russian and Argentinian family background made him the introducer of American culture to his family. His first and most memorable movie was Star Wars. His iTunes account appears to have frozen in 1992 and plays U2 and Journey on repeat. He loves sampling all kinds of cuisines and exploring Portland with his wife, Elizabeth, and 3 children, Katarina, Gabriel and Noah.
His travels have taken him to 55 different countries and he loves to interact with people from all different backgrounds. He is excited to be at the crossroads of many different cultures here in Hillsboro and to be a part of Evergreen's leadership team.
Kim leads an amazing and fun kid's ministry at E! She sings anywhere and everywhere is is known for spontaneously bursting into the “happy dance!” She frequents Ochoa’s in Hillsboro and recommends as an activity in Washington county...the salsa bar at Ochoa’s.
Kim fondly remembers her parents surprising her by “missing the exit for school” and spending the day at Disneyland. She was obviously shaped by that experience...kids never know the surprising and over-the-top fun they’ll have while getting to know Jesus!
Nathalia Sottile | Kids' Ministry Assistant
Nathalia has called E her home for most of her life, volunteering in various ministries. She started serving in Kids and Media in middle school, then interned in a Communications and Kids position for a year during high school. During her time interning, Nathalia fell in love with Kid's Ministry and administration, and now that she has graduated from Glencoe High School, she is excited to be joining the E team officially! She loves organization, administration, learning, and of course, kids!
Brad Paice | Student Ministries Pastor
Brad hails from a land far, far away where the sun shines, the beaches are warm and every word is shortened for ease of speech, ‘stralia. Brad grew up on Australia's central coast and was transported to Sydney, where he became a police officer and worked with youth on the streets.
Lydia Shepard-Kiser | Young Adults Pastor
Lydia serves as the Young Adults Pastor and Event Coordinator. She enjoys walking her two dogs, Atlas and Eloise, trying new recipes, traveling, and spending time at her parents farm.
Lydia hails from all over Washington as she moved several times growing up, but considers Yakima her hometown where she met her high school sweetheart, Kyle. Lydia is a George Fox University graduate where she received her Masters in Ministerial Leadership.
The perfect day for Lydia would include sleeping in late, drinking a chai tea, and reading a book at a warm beach.
Elizabeth Sawczuk | Womens Ministry Pastor
Growing up, Elizabeth Sawczuk never imagined that she would be ‘that mom’ driving a minivan loaded with kids, but the stereotype hasn’t slowed her down! This mother of three has graduated Life Pacific College, runs a medical equipment business and is the Women’s ministry Pastor at Evergreen.
Working closely with her husband Rick in ministry for the past eleven years, Elizabeth has discovered that she finds great joy in seeing people grow toward their full potential.
The best day Elizabeth could imagine would involve a latte, a pile of good books and cooking a big meal for her family and whoever else may show up for dinner.
Bryan and Sheila have 2 teenagers at home, Hayley and Harrison, who have grown up at E. Before Bryan came to work at E, he was an Operations Manager for Bank of America Mortgage, a Customer Service Manager for HSBC, and a candy store owner in downtown Hillsboro!! Bryan enjoys backpacking, The Big Island, Star Wars, working on home-projects, and online gaming with his brother in California. He's the cook in their family and Sheila is an amazing baker. You'll find them hosting holiday dinners and BBQ's!
Lori is an amazing office administrator who gets an early start on her day traveling 14 miles from home to the E office each weekday! And on the weekends she's happy and content working around their country acreage with her sweetheart whom she fell in love with when she was 17 and married here at E over 30 years ago (when the church had orange pews and orange carpet! :)
A great day = time spent with her husband and their adult children!
