WORKSHOPS
Workshop 1 | Monday, 10:45am
You’re Invited to the Party!
Kim Lawless & Courtney Brucks
Approach is everything! One thing we always NEED in Kids Ministry is more volunteers! Learning to move “the ask” from Obligation to Opportunity is the first step in helping people say yes and building a great team. We’ll explore changing our mindset as well as practical ways to bring others to the party where kids learn to Find and Follow Jesus.
Let's Play!
Diana Kearn
Every kid needs fun to give them connection! Play in your ministry is vital to the spiritual growth of every child. Play fosters self-confidence, relationships with friends and leaders, conflict resolution and understanding of group expectations. Inject some play in your ministry and watch kids grow in Jesus!
Create an Irresistible Environment for Kids (and their Leaders!)
Lauren & Jordan Roth
Kids are looking for one thing: FUN. They’re drawn to people and places that “speak kid.” Everything about your environment communicates something to them from the moment they enter the room. Learn how to create a setting and messaging strategy that incites wonder in the hearts of kids. Let’s talk about what encourages kids to focus and engage with God’s truth in an environment where kids truly want to be.
Workshop 2 | Monday, 11:40am
Making the Most of Your Seat at the Table
Laura Beavis
Leading from the middle requires skill. Otherwise, you feel pressed from both sides. If you are attending this conference, you likely have the unique assignment of leading others while being led. Make the most of your seat at the table by learning three key leadership principles that will take your ministry impact to the next level!
It’s Worth the Investment!
Courtney Brucks
Finding volunteers has challenges of its own, but when we invest, we build for the future! Retaining and developing leaders builds staying power, stronger team members, and future leaders that help us reach more!
Help Every Kid Feel Known
Lauren & Jordan Roth
In kids’ ministry you anticipate goldfish, bathroom trips, and crayons. You’ve studied the dance moves to the newest worship song and prepped the recipe for five different kinds of slime. But do you have the tools to make a personal connection with each child? Kids feel safe, loved and discover they have value when a leader can answer key questions about them: What is my name? Where do I live? What do I like? What have I done? What can I do? Join us to discover how you can personalize a plan to help every kid feel known in your ministry.
BREAKOUT SESSIONS
Monday, 1:30pm
The Balance Unicorn - Healthy (Really)
Jared Roth
You've heard it - “live a balanced life”. You’ve got to be kidding… balance sounds static and boring! Actually it’s a myth. How about a healthy and sustainable life: spiritually, emotionally, mentally and physically. Let’s be healthy - and maybe - a little imbalanced!
Tuesday, 9:30am
Your Next Best Step!
Ann Roth
This is your opportunity to explore the “so what, now what?” question we face each time we receive fresh input on our lives and ministry. This will be an interactive time where you can process what you have heard and determine what you need to adjust to partner with God in making a difference in the lives of kids.
